We all are about a good ‘ole fashioned game night or creating other traditions with our homies. The holidays are a perfect excuse to create these traditions.

Aunt Carol is in town, your long lost friend that moved across the country is in town visiting her fam, and your other busy working bee friends have more time to play. Sooooo in swoops the hostess with the mostest to entertain a memorable social gathering.

1. Cookie Swap: Time to show off your skills! (or go buy them at your local store, no one’s here to judge). Have a packaging station so each person can take one of each cookie. Then grub! Easy, right?   //source

2. Game Night: There are many games to be played, not all have to be holiday related. BUT, playing White Elephant can be a lot of fun OR Secret Santa. You get to perfect your gift wrapping skills and it’s an excuse to use that one of many rolls of gift wrapping paper you picked up two months ago. No, just us?   //source

5. Holiday Lights: Arrange to go with family or friends to a local holiday light trail or show. These usually include hot cocoa, cookies, music. Or, drive around neighborhoods and look at other peoples lights- which we are totally guilty of. The best part, it’s free.   //source
